lyrics

I saw it go up. But it won't be coming down again. Eyes are glued to the sky. Flooded with yellow sun. Been out looking signs. But I don't think I'll find one. My mind is fixed on that fantasy outcome. I was thinking bout black. But then it turned out blue. Now I'm stuck seeing red. All accusations on you. Hoping for a certain way only makes friction. Expectations are just premeditated resentments. Hell from High Hopes. Familiar mess, oh yes. Like spinning a poison web and then getting caught in it. It's a sick joke to play for sure. On your own soul over and over. In a funny little game of drawing pretty pictures in your head. I'm catching a feeling when I'm dealing with you. I don't think that you're acting like the person I drew. When we stumble and fall we tend to try it again. Maybe I'll just marry the girl in my head.
