Injured man crossing over. Clear the gap to his old world. Kept a steady step until the day he looked down. Deteriorating morals. One slip will unleash the horrors. He chose to lose his grip and watched the coming ground. That's the fate of another man. The waves crash on the rocks. But should I save you? It's a deadly predicament. To play the role of the knight. Or just watch you disappear into quicksand. A painful lesson just might be what you need. Soon the hurt will be over. And I bet you'll learn what to not do. Back from fighting his own war. Bearing scars from his own sword. Kept from bleeding out. Until the day he looked down. Hid behind all his anger. He missed the battle and danger. He took to running out while bullets raked the ground. So close your eyes. No fun to see. Another life is eaten by the streets. Just like the rest. Ends in defeat. Soon the worst of the pain will be over. Soon turmoil will rest. Soon the worst of the pain will be over. Soon their fate will be met. I've got a feeling I'm running a bit too late. A state of mind that could become my own ill fate. To see the fire but then just jump in it. A strange attraction to the forbidden. I feel the fear and I must wear it on my face. I could be one to go out any of these days. To pick back up, to try and run with it. Would be the end of my will to live.
